Taitoa Suomesta is a Business.fi Yrittäjät initiative created to make Finnish know-how, work and expertise more visible to customers and business partners.
Finnish expertise deserves visibility
The Taitoa Suomesta mark gives a company a clear and recognizable way to communicate that its operations, services or products are backed by work performed in Finland and Finnish expertise.
Use of the mark is free for companies. The initiative was created around the idea that communicating Finnish know-how should not depend on company size or an expensive annual licence.
What does Taitoa Suomesta communicate?
The mark is intended to highlight work performed in Finland, Finnish professional and specialist know-how, services based on domestic expertise, and service or production work carried out in Finland.
For many companies the most important Finnish contribution is not the manufacturing country of a physical product. It may be design, software development, professional services, craft, maintenance, consulting, logistics, creative work or other expertise. Taitoa Suomesta exists to make that work visible.
For companies of every size
Finnish expertise is not limited to large companies. The mark can fit sole entrepreneurs, local service companies, technology businesses, online stores, manufacturers and professional organizations when the applicable requirements are met.
The aim is to keep participation accessible and provide a free way to strengthen the visibility of work and expertise created in Finland.
Right to use the mark
The right to use the Taitoa Suomesta mark is granted to a company that meets the initiative’s current terms of use. The right may be withdrawn if the company no longer meets the requirements or uses the mark contrary to those terms.
BUSINESS.fi may maintain public information about companies entitled to use the mark so customers and partners can verify usage rights. Use and usage rights are administered by Business.fi Yrittäjät.
A free way to highlight Finnish know-how
Taitoa Suomesta was created from the view that a company should not have to pay substantial annual fees simply to communicate the role of Finnish work and expertise to its customers.
Making Finnish expertise visible benefits companies, customers, employees and Finnish business more broadly. This is why Taitoa Suomesta is built as an open and free initiative.
