OPTEROM Risk Grade and reports
Understanding the OPTEROM Risk Grade and the Company Intelligence Report, including content, pricing, OPTEROM Credits and the private report library.
What is the OPTEROM Risk Grade?
The OPTEROM Risk Grade is an open-data based company stability and risk signal published through BUSINESS.fi. It combines available registry, financial and other risk signals into a concise grade.
Where available, the company profile also shows the evidence basis, confidence and material positive or negative drivers behind the assessment. The goal is to expose the context behind the grade rather than only a letter.
What do OPTEROM grades A1–D mean?
A1–D is the OPTEROM risk scale. The grade reflects the overall assessment produced from the evidence available to BUSINESS.fi; it is not a single payment-default flag, credit limit or predicted probability of insolvency.
- A1 – Excellent
- A2 – Very good
- A3 – Good
- B1 – Stable
- B2 – Satisfactory
- B3 – Monitor
- C – Elevated risk
- D – High risk
Which information is used in the Risk Grade?
The assessment uses open company information available at the time. In Finland this may include PRH and YTJ registry data, KREK and other registry signals, public financial-statement and XBRL data, continuity information, and industry or other comparison context.
The evidence available differs between companies, so BUSINESS.fi also exposes the assessment's data basis and confidence. Reviews, claiming a company profile, or purchasing a BUSINESS.fi plan do not by themselves improve or worsen the OPTEROM Risk Grade.
Why can a company's Risk Grade change?
The grade can change when new material company information becomes available or existing evidence is refreshed. Examples include a new financial statement, registry or legal change, changes in financial development, or another new signal used by the assessment.
Company Watch can notify you about a material Risk Grade change for a company you follow.
What is the difference between an automatic and analyst-reviewed grade?
An automatic grade is produced by the OPTEROM model from the available company evidence. In some cases the published grade may be analyst reviewed. The company profile indicates whether the published grade is automatic or analyst reviewed.
An analyst review does not rewrite the underlying source evidence. The automatic assessment and its evidence state remain separately available as the background to the published grade.
Is the OPTEROM Risk Grade a credit decision or a guarantee of payment ability?
No. The OPTEROM Risk Grade is a business-information risk signal and decision-support input. It is not a bank or lender credit decision, payment guarantee, investment recommendation or promise of future solvency.
Use it together with contract terms, your own customer knowledge, current financial information and any other evidence relevant to the decision you are making.
What is the OPTEROM Company Intelligence Report?
The OPTEROM Company Intelligence Report is a private premium company report combining BUSINESS.fi evidence, the OPTEROM Risk Grade and bounded sourced external research into one durable report.
It is designed for situations where you need a deeper picture than the public company-profile summary, for example when assessing a customer, supplier, partner or other business relationship. The report artifact is produced in English.
What does the Company Intelligence Report contain?
Content depends on the evidence available for the company. A report may include company and registry identity, contacts and digital presence, financial analysis and ratios, the OPTEROM Risk Grade and history, management and governance, material company events, and bounded external research.
The report distinguishes BUSINESS.fi evidence from external context and includes methodology, limitations, and a source and evidence appendix. Not every section can be populated to the same depth for every company.
Who can order an OPTEROM report and what does it cost?
Ordering a new OPTEROM Company Intelligence Report is a Basic, Pro and Accountant capability. A Free account cannot unlock new report orders merely by holding purchased OPTEROM Credits.
One report costs 25 OPTEROM Credits. There is no separate report-count quota: the number of reports you can order depends on available OPTEROM Credits. At the current €49 / 100 OPTEROM Credits top-up pack, 25 OPTEROM Credits have a reference equivalent of about €12.25.
When are the 25 OPTEROM Credits consumed and what happens if report generation fails?
A report order reserves 25 OPTEROM Credits while processing. The reservation is consumed only after the report has completed successfully and its durable report artifact has been stored.
If the report does not complete successfully or the reservation expires before successful completion, the OPTEROM Credits reservation is not consumed. You can follow processing state from your private report library.
Where do I find ordered reports and download the PDF?
The private report library for a signed-in account is at /en/reports and is also linked from Workspace.
A completed report can be opened as a private browser view and downloaded as a PDF. Previously ordered reports remain accessible even if the account later moves to the Free tier.
Why is the Company Intelligence Report produced in English?
The OPTEROM Company Intelligence Report uses one canonical English report format across country portals. This allows the same company report to be used consistently in international company, finance and partner workflows.
The portal and ordering UI can still be Finnish or English. Original registry, company-name or source wording may be retained in its original language when that improves provenance and traceability.
How does the public OPTEROM Risk Grade differ from the paid Company Intelligence Report?
The public OPTEROM Risk Grade is a concise stability and risk signal shown on the company profile. The Company Intelligence Report is a much broader private report that places the grade in financial, registry, governance, event, research and source-evidence context.
The report does not calculate a separate competing risk grade. It consumes the OPTEROM Risk Grade published by BUSINESS.fi as the authoritative grade and adds deeper analysis around it.
What should I do if company data or the evidence behind a grade appears incomplete?
First check the source and evidence labels on the company profile and the date of the financial or registry information. Open sources may contain delays, missing periods or information that has not been published in structured form.
If information displayed by BUSINESS.fi appears clearly incorrect, send the observation through the Contact page and identify the company and the specific information concerned.
